ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY: REGINA AKUME'S ACHIEVEMENTS EXCITED CONSTITUENTS

House of Representatives Committee Chairman on MAFDAC and member representing Gboko/Tarka federal constituency, Chief Mrs Regina Mbavekomtor Akume , recently initiated a constituency briefing and empowerment programme for the good people of Gboko/Tarka Constituency to mark her one year anniversary in the office where she briefed her constituents yesterday, 13th June, 2024 at Old Ban Resort Gboko Benue State. 

With anxiety and love for the law Maker and former First Lady of Benue State, as early as 6.am yesterday, 13th July, 2024, the movement of people especially women and Youths from various directions in Benue State, most specifically the people from Gboko and Tarka local Government areas was like a Campaign rally of presidential candidate or football fans trooping to witness or support their home team playing host to a visiting club at Old Ban Resort, Gboko Benue State, Streets of Gboko town experienced very stiff traffic. Which was for the event of one year anniversary celebrations of the wife of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mrs Regina Akume where she assembled her constituents for constituency briefing and empowerment.

Top politicians across the country made long roll call of dignitaries of the event, among them were, wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, CON, represented by wife of the Honourable Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hajiya Fatima Tanjudeen, Governor of Benue State, Rev. Dr Hyacinth Iormem Alia, represented by his Deputy, His Excellency, Barr. Sam Ode, Honourable Minister of State Police Affairs was represented by Hajiya Habiba Suileman, Benue State APC Chairman, Comr. Austin Agada, House of Representatives Standing Committee Deputy Chairman on NAFDAC, Hon. Ochena Okonkwo, from Anambra State, Deputy Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Joe Sarifor, many members of the House of Representatives, members of Benue State House of Assembly, state Exco of APC in Benue State, Exco and members of Jemgbagh Development Association, market women, labour, pensioners, Groups and Associations among many others all lauded Mrs Akume for her footprints so far.

Addressing her constituents and the guests Mrs. Regina Akume who appreciated good people of Gboko/Tarka for finding her worthy of the mandate said, her people will never regret for voting her to represent them at the green chambers hence she will continue to put a smile on their faces.

 Some of her achievements unveiled for the public were, umpteenth motorised and Manual boreholes, gigantic Bridges/Corvettes, Primary Healthcare and Staff quarters, Skills Acquisition programs, Building and renovations of School blocks, Church buildings as well as facilitation of employments for her constituents, free medical outreach among many other  projects executed in just one year in the office.

The federal law Maker further revealed some of the budgeted and approved constituency projects which includes, reviving of Ameladu Water works, and construction of Akpagher-Ikpenger-Kuhwa 75 Kms Road.
