48th BIRTHDAY, 1YEAR ANNIVERSARY:  ITEMS DONATED NOT FOR APC - Speaker Dajoh

Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Chief Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh has said, items donated to his constituents to mark his 48 birthday and one in the office as speaker Benue State 10th Assembly is not for All Progressives Congress's members but for all the constituents divoid of political and religious affiliations.

The Vice Chairman, North Central Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures who stated this yesterday, Wednesday, 5th June, 2024 at LGEA Pilot Primary school, Akpagher Mbatiav, Gboko Local Government area of Benue State during his 48th birthday  and one year anniversary celebrations advised that the items should not be benefited only by APC members by everybody from Gbemacha whether members PDP, Labour, ADC or any political party an non politicians also both Muslims and Christians should should have the same treat. He further urged the main beneficiaries to ensure that the items are judiciously used for the benefit of the community.

Th speaker who dedicated his 48th birthday and one-year in office to God, people of Gbemacha the entire people of Benue State, promised that his people will continue to benefit from him the more  throughout his stay at the Assembly. 

Items donated were assorted Bajaj motorcycles, grinding machines, hundreds of cartons of herbicides and sprayers the Constituents.
Speaking further, Hon. Dajoh called on the people of Benue to continue to pray for the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia to continue with his good work for Benue.

 In his address, the Executive Governor of Benue State who expressed happiness with the achievements of Speaker, said Hon. Dajoh did not make only Gbemacha and Gboko proud but the whole state and he must be given all the necessary support to succeed.

Represented by His Deputy, Barr. Sam Ode, Governor Alia said Speaker is a representing his people well and on their part as Executive arm of Government will continue to give their desired support to Speaker and the entire Assembly.

Speaking for Speakers of State Legislatures, the Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly and Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin appreciated Hon. Dajoh for return to his people in a grand style which according to him, the items distributed are marvelous.

Others who spoke at the event were,Chief of Staff to the Governor of Benue State Rt. Hon. Paul Biam,  Father of the Day Chief Sen. Barnabas Gemade represented by Arch. David Uma, Sen. Joseph Akaagerger, APC State Chairman, Hon. Hon. Omakolo, and the President, Customary Court of Appeal Justice Cosmos Idye as well as Tor Jemgbagh, HRH, Chief Afatyo Ajoko, all commended speaker for his numerous constituency projects for just one year in the office which according to them, it's not common among other assembly members and former speakers of the state.

Earlier in an their addresses, the chairman, central planning committee and the president Mbatiav Development Association, Hon. Terfa Usoho and Chairman of the Occasion Mr. Tersoo David Ukechir called on other politicians to emulate Speaker's leadership style.

Notable guests at the event were, Sen.  Speakers of Jigawa State, Gombe State, Plateau State, Nasarawa State, Vice Chancellor Benue State University, Prof. Tor Iorapuu, Advisor to the Governor on Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Dr. Dennis Akura and Chief Press secretary to the Governor of Benue State, Hon. Tersoo Kula. Others were Hon. Terna Achir and PDP stakeholders and Elders in Gboko, Nollywood veteran actress Rita Edochie among many others.

CHIEF OYEGUN OFFICIALLY JOINS ADC 16th July, 2025 A former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Oyegun, a former Edo State Governor, received the membership card of his new party on Tuesday.
