CHIEF SUSWAM SYMPATHIZES WITH VICTIMS IN SANKERA, CONDEMNS  ATTACK ON GBAGIR PEOPLE

A top Contender for Tor Sankera stool, Chief Jack Suswam was yesterday, 10th March, 2024  prevailed on victims of the Gbagir attack by Fulani Herders in Ityuluv ward in Ukum local Government area of Benue state remain law abiding and resist any temptation to carry laws into their hands to revenge the attacks as government is capable of addressing the matter.

The would be Tor Sankera said he is confidence that with Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia both the state and federal authorities will show concern about the attack and more security operatives weill be deploy to contain the situation.

Speaking both at the refugees camp and the palace of Tyoor Ityuluv in Ukum when visited the war ravaged communities by Militia men, Chief Suswam lamented over the attack that have claimed many lives, many persons missing, several others hospitalized and over 30 houses burnt. ” your pains is my pains, I can feel your pains and agonies, iam a victim too but this is a disturbing situation. But please vengeance or reprisal attack is not the answer. It is the primary responsibility of government to protect the citizenry.".

Speaking further, Chief Suswam who commended Governor Alia for his swift action of visiting the war zone and deployment of security to the are.

The Philanthropist who advised the Youths of the area to desist from criminal activities for peace and development of Sankera said "Sankera is for all of us and we must protect it."
 He also promised mobilize the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to visit the affected areas and provide food items to alleviate the hunger. 
Chief Suswam also paid condolence visit the Jando's family to sympathize with them of the demised of their son, Engr. Jando.

In another development, the Youths in Sankera today, 11th March, 2024 visited Chief Suswam to give their support and blessings for his journey to the throne of Tor Sankera.
