INSECURITY IN NIGERIA: DR KURAUN PROFFERS SOLUTIONS
* SAYS WHEN SECURITY VOTE IS CHANEL TO SECURITY AND SELF DEFENCE APPLY, INSECURITY WILL ALLEVIATED.

A Frontline Governorship hopeful in Benue State come 2027,  Dr. Jeffrey Kuraun has proffered solutions to alleviate the prolong insecurity that face our country Nigeria and most especially Benue State where he came from.

Dr. Kuraun who  gave the tutorial recently at the university of Mkar, Gboko Benue State while presenti a lecture as Distinguished guest lecturer of the 19th public lecture with the topic “ Navigating an uncertain future" said to achieve that, " courage, creativity, and responsibility in times of crisis" must be applied. 

Expressing worries at the suffering the insecurity has put Nigerians the iBenue masses, Dr. Kuraun expressed hope that, when the security monies are chanel and translate directly for the security, the insecurity in the country will be solved, even as he Called on the Government to to keep to her promises to protect lives and properties of her citizens by ensuring security, justice, and transparency play. 

Educating universities on their roles which according to him, they have ignored it, Dr Kuraun urged them play their roles  as a catalysts for ethical leadership, peacebuilding, and community development. Even as he encouraged students to be educated beyond classroom but move from passive victims to active visionaries by voicing out genuinely to foster unity even by applying spiritual and mental strength. " Be creative, stay spiritually and mentally guided to find peace for yourselves, rise your voice peacefully".

The 2027  Governorship hopeful proposed innovation labs, civic engagement programs among many other impactful ideas. 

On the other hand, Dr. Kuraun said, self defence remains the best option for the Benue masses hence according to him Government had done it best without a fruitful result, he explained further that, with the the umpteenth boarders allover Benue State, the state is always at danger and only self defence can bring peace for the people. 

The governorship aspirant who was accompanied at the event with hundreds of his first family, Mrs Torkwase Kuraun, their daughter, party supporters, friends and associates, he donated huge amount of money for the university lab. 

Contributing to the lecture in his opening speech, Prof. Anzenge Tavershima said the country Nigeria is very troublesome and the threat is affecting the future.

In his welcome address, the vice chancellor of the university, Prof. Zacharys Anger Gundu who appreciated the guest lecturer for honouring the university through his physical presence with a moral topic, he also pleased to receive him another day soon to impact more knowledge on the university community.

Meanwhile the university deputy vice chancellor, Dr. Joel Kanyi Tivde in his vote of thanks prayed God to continue to bless Dr Kuraun with more knowledge, wisdom, good health, financial strength for his dreams. 

The lecture was held at the university chapel on Friday, 11th July, 2025

CHIEF OYEGUN OFFICIALLY JOINS ADC 16th July, 2025 A former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
