BISHOP ORTOM CHARGED TO PASTURE WITH LOVE AND CARE

The newly ordained Bishop of Abiding Grace Ministries international Rt. Rev. Dr. Bishop Myem Ortom has been charged to always lead God's florks with patience, humility, kindness, love and care.

The charge was given to Bishop Ortom today, yesterday, 19the April, 2025 at the Abiding Grace Ministries international Tomotar Gboko Local Government area of Benue State by the Bishop of Metropolitan International Prelate and the Chairman of international council of Apostles and Bishops, Arch Bishop Dr. Peter Ayodele Andrew  who consecrated him (Bishop Myem) to Bishop's council also charged him to love and be faithful to the church and purpose which he is ordained for till the end. 

According to Bishop Ayodele, he was happy to ordain Bishop Myem because of the disciples he witnessed behind him in his ministry, because you cannot be a Bishop without disciples. 

Admonishing the new Bishop through his sermon to mark the occasion, Arch Bishop Dr Johnson Abiodum Banki of Cotonou republic.  noted that " elevation to Bishop position is not just wearing garment and showing up but self preparation and dedication to follow Christ's footsteps as well as to always remember that you are called to serve and not to be served”.

 Earlier, presenting Bishop Ortom for ordination, Pst. Dr. Joseph Anure said he had followed the ordained for a long time and can attest that, Rev Ortom was ready to serve God and has been a positive instrument of Jesus Christ through his service to the church he is leading.

 In their goodwill messages, wife of SGF, Her Excellency, Mrs Haamo Akume, ACG Immigration Services Mrs. Victoria Isang,  Chief Teran Kwaghbo, Chief, Akpam Abeke, President Sankera Development Association Gboko branch, Dr. Solomon Gbande among many others who congratulated Bishop Ortom on his new elevation all promised their continuous supports for the growth of the ministry. 

The high points of the ordination ceremony were the laying on of hands and prayer of ordination over the new Bishop, decoration with the Bishop's garment, anointing of the wife of the Bishop, Pastor, Dr. Mrs. Grace Myem before they were presented to the congregation amid cheers of great joy.

In his vote of thanks, Bishop Ortom said, words alone cannot express his heartfelt gratitude to the Almighty God, his late parents, all the Bishops, ministers, family, members of the Abiding Grace Ministries international, host community, guests at the event as well as those who identified with him and the event through goodwill messages, phone calls, text messages, prayers and wishes.

Bishop Ortom will conduct his first mass as a Bishop at the Abiding Grace Ministries international Tomotar, today
at 9am which be follow with Thanksgiving.
