BENUE SPEAKER PLEDGES LOYALTY TO GOV ALIA, URGES FOR SUPPORT

The Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh has urged Mbatiav community, Gbemacha, Gboko and entire Benue people to support the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia for the overall development of the state.
Hon. Dajoh who doubles as the vice Chairman, (North Central) conference of Speakers of state Legislators, made the call on Saturday 2rd March, 2024 at LGEA Pilots primary school, Akpagher, Mbatiav, Gboko local Government area of Benue at a reception in his honour by the Mbatiav Development Association.
He also urged them to work in unity and peace with other groups for the overall development of the state., “Let’s all continue to support our very own son, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia and all those in leadership positions to succeed.’’
Speaking further, Chief Dajoh said, “I have a message and as I always said, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia is our son, this is his maternal home, me iam just a messager there in the state house of assembly, you people people have sent me as a Nanny to be a child minder over your son, Governor Alia and I have promise never to betray the trust you have in me, I will protect your son with all my strength and wisdom God give me, your son will be lulled under my care, I will never hurt your son nor distract him, but at the same time I will be giving him the deserved advises whenever here is diverting from his campaign promises of "ka u I Doo Tiv la" we should not mistake advice and constructive criticism to hatred, "ka u I Doo Tiv la" I stand for."
The Speaker Dajoh was conferred with a chieftaincy title of ATÔNKÔ of Mbatiav by the Mbatiav Development Association, Gboko local Government area of, Benue State as well as his colleagues were also honoured at the event notably among them were the speakers of Gombe state House of Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar Luggerewo and Bauchi state House of Assembly speaker, Rt. Hon. Babayo Akuyam among many others.
The Benue Speaker who said the honour will endear him to do more for his people, appreciated the people of Mbatiav for finding him, wife and his colleagues worthy of the honor.
Conferring the Title of ATÔNKÔ U MBATIAV on the speaker and his wife, Mrs. Cynthia Kundumiyol Dajoh as ISHUEN I ATÔNKÔ U MBATIAV, Ter Gboko, Chief Gabriel Shosun said the conferment of the title is in recognition of humanitarian services by the Speaker across the Gboko local government area, Benue state and beyond. “The conferment of the title is a testament to your dedication and commitment to improving the lives of the Gbemacha community and beyond,".
Speaking earlier, Chairman of Nigeria Conference of Speakers, Rt. Hon. Edward Adebo Ogundoyin who was represented by the speaker of Gombe state House of Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar said Chief Dajoh is indeed an asset to the conference of speakers following his numerous contributions, he further revealed that, the conference of speakers will in a short time honor Chief Aondona Dajoh at the national level.
He said the people of Gbemacha are lucky for God to bless them with a visionary son like Dajoh even as he called for more support for Dajoh.
Speaking for members of Benue State House of Assembly, the Majority Leader, Hon. Saater Tiseer commended the people of Gbemacha for always standing by their son, chief Dajoh as well as assured the public of a continued positive support and loyalty to the Speaker for the progress of Benue State.
Earlier, the President of the association, Hon. Terfa Usoho said “As representatives of the Gbemacha community, we resolved with open hearts, our purpose today is threefold: first, to honour and appreciate you for your quality representation with umpteenth projects in our community, to congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment as speaker also to establish a bridge of collaboration between our son, Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia and the state assembly under your leadership".
“Your emergence as Speaker is a testament to your capacity, integrity, We believe that your leadership will steer the Benue State House of Assembly towards greater heights. The expectations are high, and we are confident that you will continue uphold the principles of justice, equity and transparency.’’
In another development, the speaker led the guests to commission of of his community projects, the Mbadim Council Hall that is built and furnished by him ( the speaker) and named after the Late Augustine Tarker Golozo.
The Hall was commissioned by Rt. Honorable Abubakar Luggerewo speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly through the chairman, conference of speakers, Rt Hon. Edward Adebo Ogundoyin.
