ORTOM PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE TER KATSINA ALA
* Describes the deceased as ‘’a foremost traditional ruler"

The immediate past Governor of Benue State, Chief Samuel Ioraernyi Ortom yesterday Saturday, 13th January, 2024 joined other prominent Nigerians to pay respect to the Late. Ter Katsina ala, Fezanga Wombo.
Chief Ortom among many other dignitaries attended the burial of the 88 year old monarch in Katsina Ala Local Government Area of Benue state.

In his speech, the former Governor condoled with the son of the monarch, Prince Solomon Wombo, representing Sankera Federal Constituency, and other members of the family, he noted that the late Ter Katsina ‘’lived a humble life and also offered selfless service to the community,  a devoted Christian, a disciplinarian, a bridge builder and a good ambassador of the traditional institution."

Represented by his former advisor and the former chairman of Katsina Ala, Hon. Tsenongo Abancha, Chief Ortom further described Late Monarch as a role model, saying that his death is a huge loss to his family, Tiv nation, the state and Nigeria in general, and wished the family the fortitude to bear his death.

CHIEF OYEGUN OFFICIALLY JOINS ADC 16th July, 2025 A former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Oyegun, a former Edo State Governor, received the membership card of his new party on Tuesday. His membership card was handed to him by the party’s state chairman, Kennedy Odion, after he registered with the ADC in Benin city, the Edo State capital. Speaking at the presentation, Odion said the former APC national chairman is not new to the formation of political coalitions.
