SEN. SUSWAM'S FOOTPRINTS STILL COUNTING

ELECTRICITY PROJECT FACILITATED BY SEN. SUSWAM FROM TINE - NUNE TO CHAVERKPER VILLAGE, MBATIAN, UKUM LGA NOW COMPLETED AND THE 300KVA TRANSFORMER ENERGIZED 

The good people of Chaverkper village in Mbatian ward, Ngenev, Ukum LGA of Benue State were in a joyous mood this evening, 2nd August, 2023 as they played and danced to traditional music in celebration of the extension of electricity to their community by Senator Gabriel Suswam. The distinguished Senator also provided a 300KVA Transformer which was energized by JED today. 

Hon. Moses Chaverkper who is the contact person for the project informed Senator Suswam about this development earlier today. According to him, Mbatian people are grateful and proud of Sen. Suswam's visionary leadership and unparalleled achievements.

In the 2023 budget which was prepared in November, 2022 and passed into law by the 9th National Assembly, Senator Suswam lobbied and successfully had funds appropriated for the extension of electricity from Chaverkper village through Akpuuna I & II, Dyom, Sai (Mbajir)  and finally to Agu centre (Mbatyula ward) in Katsina-Ala LGA.

An octogenarian from Chaverkper village who was  also visibly happy, proudly praised Sen. Suswam and encouraged Ukum people to be patient and prayerful as  the gloom and hopelessness that have enveloped the people will soon be over.

CHIEF OYEGUN OFFICIALLY JOINS ADC 16th July, 2025 A former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Oyegun, a former Edo State Governor, received the membership card of his new party on Tuesday. His membership card was handed to him by the party’s state chairman, Kennedy Odion, after he registered with the ADC in Benin city, the Edo State capital.
